Lawyer by day, junk food junkie by night. St. Paul's Ben Passer has turned his love of unique snack foods into a social media sensation, amassing more than 28,000 Instagram followers on his @snackcellar account.

Passer loves to hunt down the latest wacky snacks, from pumpkin pie flavored Kit Kats to Peacan Pie Pringles.

Passer joined Tom Crann on Appetites this week to talk about how he became the junk food expert.

"I was really into fitness and working out, even going back to college, and I think I found myself as I developed that regiment needing a little more balance in my life," Passer said. "So I wanted to make sure that when I was indulging in moderation I was really taking advantage of the best, newest, limited edition products out there."

Passer's biggest hits and misses

Best Snacks:

Talenti Pumpkin Pie Gelato: A spoonful of pumpkin pie in every bite. It's one of my favorite store-bought ice cream flavors.

Snickers Espresso: It's not coming out until June 2018, but I got a sneak peek, and it will be worth the wait.

Fruity Crisp Oreo Cookies: Nabisco's cookie version of Fruity Pebbles. We haven't seen them since their debut in 2016, but I'm really hoping they bring them back.

Worst Snacks:

Jolly Rancher Pop-Tarts: The flavor is accurate, but it's to the point that it's way too much for a breakfast pastry.

Swedish Fish Oreo Cookies: Basically tasted like cough syrup.

Sugar Cookie Pringles: Debuted around the holidays last year. Tasted like potatoes with a light dusting of sugar, which is to say, not great.
