It's the American dream to get a good job, work hard, start a family, buy a house and then pass this wealth on to your children.  For the African American community this dream seems very elusive.  


A new Minnesota-based, black-owned credit union is hoping to change this. MPR host Chris Farrell spoke with two guests on credit unions and the importance of diversity: 

 is the director at the Association for Black Economic Power and 

 is the vice president of research and policy analysis at the Credit Union National Association.
