There's an expression, "Good things come to those who wait," and it certainly applies this week at Classical MPR.
That's because back on March 31, we recorded a concert at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis that we're airing on Friday, July 21. Osmo Vänskä leads the Minnesota Orchestra in a performance of Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring," after which they're joined by guest pianist Rafal Blechacz for a performance ofnthe gorgeous Piano Concerto No. 1 by Johannes Brahms.
