Who is singing 'Incense and Peppermints'?

"Incense and Peppermints" by the Strawberry Alarm Clock was No. 1 on the Billboard pop chart 50 years ago.

While recording the song, none of the band members liked the way they sounded on lead vocals. Greg Munford, 16, was visiting them in the studio, so they asked him to sing it and that's the version they released.

Despite singing on their biggest hit, Munford never actually joined the band. The song originally came out as the B-side of a single with "The Birdman of Alkatrash" as the A-side.
