Boy George says he's planning a new album

Today's music is from 30 years ago today when "Karma Chameleon" by Culture Club was the number one song on the Billboard charts. It was the only Culture Club song to reach number one in the U.S.

In an interview, lead singer Boy George said "The song is about the terrible fear of alienation that people have, the fear of standing up for one thing. If you aren't true, if you don't act like you feel, then you get Karma-justice, that's nature's way of paying you back."

Boy George is planning to release a new album later this year. It will be his first collection of new material in 18 years.
