Within the biking community, many speak of a divide between sports cyclists and day-to-day bikers or bike commuters.

Some feel bike advocacy from a public planning perspective — attempts to get more people on bikes and develop more bike lanes — could benefit from more engagement from the spandex-donning crowd.
