Preliminary autopsy shows gunman in ND Walmart shooting was drunk
A man who shot and killed a Grand Forks, N.D., Walmart employee and wounded another last month was drunk at the time, according to preliminary autopsy results released by police.
Marcell Willis, 21, had a blood-alcohol level of 0.19 percent, more than twice the legal limit to drive in North Dakota.
The active duty senior airman at the Grand Forks Air Force base drove to a Walmart around 1 a.m. May 26. He walked into the store and shot two employees before killing himself.
Gregory Weiland, 70, was killed and 47-year-old Lisa Braun was wounded. She was released from a Grand Forks hospital earlier this week.
Police say it will be four to six weeks before full autopsy results are available.
