Construction crews are currently working on a major overhaul of the 110-year-old State Capitol building in St. Paul.

Construction superintendent Tom Madison said much of the restoration work includes the preservation and protection of existing details, including the stairway.

The $273 million renovation project, which will include everything from adding public gallery spaces to more bathrooms, is scheduled to completed in 2017.
