The Family reunites 30 years after one and only album

Today's Morning Edition music is from "The Screams of Passion" by The Family from their one and only album, which came out in 1985.

That band, which is now called fDeluxe, performs Tuesday night at the Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis. They no longer call themselves The Family because Prince owns the name. He created the band as a side project, wrote most of their songs and helped produce the album.

The Family only performed live once in its original incarnation. Now they are back together and on Tuesday night they'll be playing all the songs from that original album in honor of its 30th anniversary.
