One dead in St. Paul shooting

St. Paul police say a man involved in an alleged robbery near the Mississippi River in St. Paul was shot and killed last night.

Police were called to Summit Avenue and Mississippi River Boulevard around 10:30 p.m. on a report of a robbery.

When they arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the initial report was that two suspects were attempting to rob two adults. They say the man killed was one of the suspects.

It isn't clear how the shooting unfolded, police say. They're questioning those involved, but are also looking for other witnesses to the shooting.
