A Louis Vuitton store heist took several police agencies on a chase from the west to the east metro Wednesday when eight men allegedly tried to flee with the expensive merchandise.

The men were arrested in Woodbury after allegedly stealing from the Galleria Louis Vuitton store in Edina, the city's spokesperson Kaylin Eidsness said.

An employee called police around 10 a.m. It's not clear how the suspects took the secured merchandise. The value of the stolen products has not yet been determined.

The men, who are in their 20s and 30s, fled east on Interstate Hwy. 494 taking Edina, Bloomington and Woodbury police, and Minnesota State Patrol on a chase.

Eidsness said police forced the men to stop with a precision immobilization technique — that's when police stop sideways to force the fleeing car to stop. Officers arrested the men at about 10:30 a.m.
