1. See "My Fair Lady" at the Guthrie Theater
D'Arcy Smith is the resident voice coach at the Guthrie Theater and a lecturer at the University of Minnesota. He taught the show's actors the various dialects that are so essential to "My Fair Lady."
He and Helen Anker, who plays Eliza Doolittle, joined The Daily Circuit this week to talk about preparing for the production.
"My Fair Lady" runs through Aug. 31.

2. Bike and drink beer
The New Belgium Brewery hosts a traveling celebration of bikes, beer and community in 12 cities across the United States.

3. Catch up on your history
Reading history books may not be your idea of a fun weekend, but this weekend could bring rain and cooler temperatures — especially on Sunday.

4. Dine the Green Line
You may have already had a chance to ride the new light rail Green Line that opened last month, linking downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul. But have you had the opportunity to dine the Green Line?
Rachel Hutton, food editor of Minnesota Monthly, spoke to MPR's Tom Crann about some of her favorite restaurants along the route between the downtowns.

5. Check out the Lumberjack World Championships
The U.S. Lumberjack World Championships get underway Thursday in Hayward, Wisconsin, with log rolling, pole climbing and chopping events.

The championships started in 1960. Organizers say it's a way to acknowledge the rich history of the logging industry across the United States.

6. See Native American music at the Pipestone Pow Wow
Pipestone, Minnesota, is hosting the Pipestone Pow Wow Friday through Sunday. You can see handcrafted American Indian art, eat buffalo burgers and learn about the history of Pipestone.
The festival also has a native food cook off Friday night, followed by a Native American music concert.
