Police in Duluth say two young girls who were reported missing have been found safe in Buffalo, New York, with their mother.

Police said earlier Friday that the girls, ages 2 and 7 months, were taken by their mother against a court order.

The children are now in protective custody and arrangements will be made to bring them back to St. Louis County.

Police are thanking the public for help in finding the girls.
