Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis enter Songwriters Hall of Fame
It was announced this week that Jimmy Jam Harris and Terry Lewis will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
They got their start writing and producing for the S.O.S. Band and that's what got them fired from The Time.
Prince made that decision after a blizzard prevented them from getting to a gig after leaving their bandmates to produce a session with the S.O.S. Band. That worked pretty well for the founders of Flyte Tyme Productions. To date, Jam and Lewis have written 41 songs that have reached the Top Ten in the United States.
