Sioux Falls couple organizing Ebola effort

A Sioux Falls couple is organizing an effort to send protective equipment and hand sanitizer to Liberia to help those treating the Ebola virus.

Bebe Jones is originally from Liberia. Jones tells KSFY-TV that he and his wife have been collecting protective equipment like gloves and face masks to send to a Liberian hospital.

Jones says items like hand sanitizer and soap are not readily available in some parts of Africa. He says they're also very expensive.

Jones says businesses and churches in Sioux Falls are collecting supplies to help his family with their effort. Local businesses have also offered to foot the bill for shipping the supplies.
