Why convincing a jury is a tough hurdle in rape cases
How police investigate accusations of sexual assault at the University of Minnesota is under increased scrutiny. On Sunday the Star Tribune told the story of U of M student Abby Honold and the extreme lengths it took to bring her rapist to justice.
The article also reveals that since 2010 more than 1,000 sexual assaults have been reported to the University's Aurora Center, but none of the accused rapists have been prosecuted. The Aurora Center is the university's rape prevention and advocacy center.
MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Katie Eichele, the director of the center.
