A Minneapolis community organization said it will host Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders Friday at a forum dedicated to racial equity.

Neighborhoods Organizing for Change invited both Democratic candidates to appear at the event at the Capri Theater in north Minneapolis. A spokesperson for Hillary Clinton says Clinton declined the invitation.

The forum will focus on the African-American experience in the country, racial disparities and ways that public investment in communities of color can help narrow gaps, according to a statement from Neighborhoods Organizing for Change.

The group said the invitation doesn't represent an endorsement of Sanders. His campaign didn't immediately confirm his participation in the event.

Ticket information isn't yet available, but the group said in a statement that they're also planning to livestream it.
