Man dies in Duluth fire

A man died in an apartment fire Saturday afternoon in Duluth.

The Duluth Fire Department was called to the Tri-Towers complex near downtown just before 5 p.m.

Fire crews went to a 13th-floor apartment, where they found the man inside, but were unable to resuscitate him.

Firefighters were able to contain and put out the fire. Damage to the building is estimated at $12,000.

The Duluth Fire Marshal's office is investigating.
