Authorities on Sunday recovered the body of a second boater who went missing on Lake of the Woods more than a week ago. The Lake of the Woods County Sheriff's office said a resident of Flag Island found the body of 24-year-old Cody Ostendorf near the northeastern corner of the island.

Authorities said his body is being sent to the University of North Dakota medical examiner's office in Grand Forks.

Ostendorf was reported missing October 3, along with 28-year-old Keith Ayers and 22-year-old Justin Haugtvedt after their boat was found capsized. Sheriff Gary Fish says the men's capsized boat was found on the lake last Saturday.

Searchers recovered Haugtvedt's body Friday night in the southwest area of Oak Island in about 14 feet of water. Deputies were using side scan sonar when they located his body.

The three men from Baudette were last seen leaving Sunset Lodge on Oak Island late on Oct. 2.

Sheriff's officials said they will continue the search for Ayers.
